Check out our rave reviews!

We stopped by when driving through town in a strong thunderstorm, and discovered this while sitting in traffic on Yelp. Thank you Yelp! After a long road trip of less than healthy food, this was a welcomed sight! We had pretty much all of their sides, and the daily protein done up BBQ style. The collards were my favorite.. spicy too! Also enjoyed the curry potatoes, the Mac and spices in a creamy cheese like sauce, lentils, yams, and red cabbage. Everything was perfectly delicious.... so much so that we’re saving the great looking kale salad for later. This is a new stop for us on our long road trips... looking forward to returning soon!

My son and I are vegans who love soul food and reggae, so this spot in Columbia was our Mecca. And it truly does appeal to all your senses. It’s beautifully decorated with African masks, inviting colors, and a line of art prints for sale, they have amazing music playing, and the light smell of incense combined with the aroma of curried potatoes... I could live here.

The sesame chicken was very, VERY good. The texture of the chicken was incredibly meat-like and the flavor was wonderful! The sides were very good too. But I tasted my husband’s Philly cheese steak, and holy moly.... BEST cheese steak I’ve EVER tasted! And it didn’t have any steak. Or cheese. It was SO good. (Btw, this is coming from a non-vegan/vegetarian.) It’s a big sandwich so be prepared to loosen your belt. (Also, it takes them a few minutes to prepare this sandwich. They told us this up front though, and it was definitely well worth the wait.) The lady at the front was super nice and helpful in explaining and recommending different dishes. We also tried the cupcakes... blueberry and key lime. Yummy! We live over an hour away, but this will be our regular eating spot when we visit Columbia.

I swear by this place! Might as well say I eat here every week! The collards are heaven sent! Sometimes I get 2 sides of collards and the protein of the day or switch up with their delicious curry potatoes! You can’t go wrong on any day here as their menu changes daily! My favorite protein is definitely the orange “chicken”! The staff is really friendly and the wait isn’t even really a wait! They get you taken care of!

THE place to go for vegan fair in Columbia. Soul food, sandwiches, and fresh beverages. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious! The collards are my favorite, sweet and spicy. Other goodies are the purple cabbage, pinto beans, and seasoned brown rice. They also have a special protein each day. I love that the environment is very afrocentric. Defying stereotypes of veganism. Love it! I will definitely add this to my list of favorite vegan spots!

The food is spiced to perfection. EXPLODING with flavor. Tastes like food grandma would make, except much healthier. I had the four veggie plate, and didn’t miss the taste of cheese or meat at all!! Definitely the best Mac and “Cheese” I’ve had. Couldn’t even finish my plate from being full. If you think you couldn’t possibly be vegan, this place will prove you wrong! Great food, great people, great laid back atmosphere.
